Coach Daniel Dalbjer Extends Contract!

Updated: November 4, 2021

We are very pleased to announce that just before the coming World Floorball Championships women’s national team head coach Daniel Dalbjer has extended his contract to 2023.

“Our organization is pleased for the continued work of coach Dalbjer and his staff. With the consistency of his high level coaching, we believe we can expect a positive impact on team performance and our women’s program overall,” says General Manager Alyssa Zinsser Hall.

Daniel Dalbjer’s reasons for the early extension with the women’s national team are clear.

“A fantastic squad, which gives everything they have on the field, a terrific harmony among the players, I really like the energy and the whole team staff feel clearly that we want to make a difference here and help and of course it is a big challenge,” says head coach Daniel Dalbjer.

With the World Floorball Championship 2021 in Uppsala just around the corner expectations on the event are high.

“A good event on the whole and when it comes to us, it is also very much about the big picture around the squad, harmony, tactical, put our stamp on the team and to deliver as a team and leadership team. Everything is new, players coming in from the US who we have not seen or met yet. In other words, it will be built, built for the future and we will bring a clarity so that everyone around the organization feels good in the process,” Dalbjer continues.

Team USA contains a good mix of younger players as well as players that have played at the WFC before. Focus will be for all players to play for the flag and themselves.

“Our goals for Uppsala are to build something new, the whole, clarity and of course rise in the ranking and have a nice first World Floorball Championships,” he concludes.

The Women’s World Floorball Championships 2021 will take place in Uppsala, Sweden the 27th of November to the 5th of December, all games can be streamed live for free on the IFF YouTube channel.

Team USA kick off the WFC with a game against Denmark on the 27th at 2 p.m. local time.
