Friday the 27th of August at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, AL, prior to the US Nationals 2021, we will be hosting a floorball development camp for all who want to develop their floorball skills.

You have to be a US citizen to be eligible for any US National team but all nationalities, ages and genders are welcome to the camp.

The plan is for the camp to be led by men’s national team head coach Joel Olofsson, usually found coaching floorball in Sweden, and will be open to everyone. From experienced players who want to be evaluated for a spot on one of our national teams to newcomers who just want to work on their skills.

Joel Olofsson’s participation is however dependent on if he will be able to travel to the U.S. from Sweden due to pandemic laws. If it isn’t possible for him to get into the U.S the camp will be lead by Y16 National team head coach Orlando Floorball’s Daniel Williamsson.

The levels of the sessions will be dictated by the level of experience of the people signed up and we will try to meet everyone’s needs as far as is possible. Kids are also welcome to sign up.

The camp will focus on everything from stick technique to decision making during games and game play.

Deadline for sign up is Sunday the 22nd of August and payment is due in connection to your sign up.

The camp costs $50 which is to be paid by PayPal to usafloorball@gmail.com. The cost covers the training sessions but does not include lodging, meals, travel or other. The PayPal payment should be marked with “Development camp US Nationals 2021”.

US Development Camp Schedule
The preliminary schedule is as follows
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm on court session 1
4:30 pm – 6:00 pm break for rest and recovery
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm on court session 2
8:00 pm – 9:00 pm theory and national team information (for those who want to join)

This schedule could be changed dependent on the number of signups but the earliest start time is 3 pm and the on court sessions will be finished by 8 pm. The final schedule will be set shortly after the deadline for signing up and emailed to all participants.

We prefer players to participate in both sessions but if you only can participate in one session that is ok but the cost is the same. If you are new to floorball and need to borrow a stick please tick that box in the sign up.

Training questions email Joel Olofsson joel.olofsson@usfba.org, general questions email adam@usfba.org.

Sign up by filling out this form and sending the Paypal payment.
