Golden Gate Cup 2017 information

The Golden Gate Cup always hosts the best of Floorball teams in the USA and this year will be no different. This will be an epic battle of US Floorball champions!

The Golden Gate Cup will be played at Silver Creek Sportsplex in San Jose, CA where the USA Floorball Association hosted the US Nationals 2017. We have the honor to host the 2014, 2015, 2016 USA National Floorball Champions Menlo Park FC and San Francisco FC.

The 8 team maximum has been met and all teams are have been placed in two groups:

Group A
1. Menlo Park A
2. San Francisco
3. Arizona
4. Colorado

Group B
1. Menlo Park B
2. San Jose
3. Sacramento
4. Fresno

This tournament is sanctioned by the USA Floorball Association and requires a USA Floorball membership. This is a non-profit event and all proceeds from this event will go to support the US Womens National team at the WFC 2017 in Bratislava this December.

Tournament Start: Saturday, Nov 11, 8am PST
Tournament End: Saturday, Nov, 11 9pm PST

Check-in and pre-registration:
Friday, Nov 10th, 7pm-9pm. Silver Creek Sportsplex.
USA Floorball Referee clinic and official Certification:
Friday, Nov 10th, 9am-5pm. Silver Creek Sportsplex.

Early Team Registration $600.00 by 09/30/17
10/01/17 and 10/31/17 Team Registration is $700.00
After 11/01/17 Team Registration is $800.00
Individual Player Registration $100.00
USA Floorball membership is required for all players.

Preliminary Tournament schedule will be released NLT 15 days before the tournament. Final schedule will be posted November 6.

Penalty shootout competition:
Players will get an opportunity to compete for a free Floorball stick in the penalty shootout competition. Fee: $10 paid directly at the event.

Online Registration:

Tournament Rules:
The Golden Gate Cup will follow all official IFF rules for game-play and equipment. Teams will have a maximum of 15 players (excl. goalie).

Two referees will officiate the games and penalties will be assessed for rules violations according to the latest IFF rule book. Games will consist of two 15-minute periods with a 5-minute break between periods.

Awards will be given to teams placing 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

There will be trophies for Golden Gate Cup MVP, Most goals, Points and assists.
