Registration for the Golden Gate Cup is open!

The premier Floorball tournament in the US, Golden Gate Cup always host the best teams and competition at the highest level.
The 2018 and 2016 US National champions, Menlo Park will be there. Take this opportunity to play against the newly crowned US Floorball champions. This will be an epic battle of new and past US Floorball champions!

The Golden Gate Cup will be played at Silver Creek Sportsplex in San Jose, CA. This is the same amazing facility as last year.
This tournament is sanctioned by the USA Floorball Association and requires a USA Floorball membership. This is a non-profit event and all proceeds from this event will go to support the US National teams.

USA Floorball membership is required for all participants.

Disclaimer, there is no guarantee that free agents will be able to join an existing team, Golden gate Cup will do everything in it’s power to make accommodate free agents. Team’s in need of players are encourage to work with Golden Gate Cup to find players available.

Schedule:

Preliminary tournament schedule will be released NLT 15 days before the
tournament. Final schedule will be posted EOD, November 2.

Date & Time:

Tournament Start: Saturday, Nov 10, 9am PST
Tournament End: Sunday, Nov, 11, 3pm PST
Preliminary schedule will be posted Nov 1 st at the USA Floorball website.

Check-in and pre-registration:

Friday, Nov 9th, 7pm-9pm. Silver Creek restaurant
Free drinks & Pizza and a great opportunity to socialize with other Floorball players prior to the tournament. Stick’s, equipment and other perks will be raffled out at the pre-registration. Each team manager has to submit and confirm final roster at the pre-
registration. If not done in person by team responsible person at the pre-registration the offending team will start their first game with a 2 goal penalty.

USA Floorball Level II – Referee clinic:

Friday, Nov 9th, 9am-5pm Silver Creek Sportsplex.
Thomas Andersson, ranked No.1 in the world among all Floorball referees will conduct a referee training and mentoring class for level 2 referees only. USA Floorball membership is required for all participants.

Standard rate between: Oct 1 – Oct 31 $120
Late fee: After Oct 31 $150

Saturday night recognition and awards:

Saturday, Nov 10th, 8pm-9pm Silver Creek restaurant. Awards and prices will be given in the following categories:
1. Most goals – Day 1 – Award
2. Most points – Day 1 – Award
3. Best referee – Day 1 – Award
4. Best goal – Day 1 – Award
5. Best Save – Day 1 – Award
6. Most saves – Day 1 – Award
7. Most Penalties – Day 1 – Special prize
8. MVP – Day 1 – Special prize

Penalty shootout competition:

Players will get an opportunity to compete for a free Floorball stick in the penalty shootout competition midday Saturday.
Fee: $10 paid directly in cash at the event.

Tournament Rules:

The Golden Gate Cup will follow all official IFF rules for game-play and equipment. Teams will have a maximum of 15 players (Incl. goalie).

Two USA Floorball certified referees will officiate the games and penalties will be assessed for rules violations according to the latest IFF rule book. Games will consist of two 15-minute periods with a 5-minute break betweenperiods.

Awards and recognition:

Sunday, Nov 11th, 3pm-4pm Silver Creek restaurant
Awards will be given to teams placing 1st, 2nd & 3 rd during the Sunday awards ceremony following the final game at the Silver Creek restaurant. There will be trophies for Golden Gate Cup MVP, Most goals, Points assists and “biggest hacker”.
