The USMNT has gathered in Finland to prepare for the coming World Floorball Championships. Despite a solid effort they fell by 6-10 to Grankulla IFK this evening.

After only one practice together Team USA had the tough task of taking on Finish team Grankulla IFK at the excellent Eerikkilä Sport & Outdoor Resort.

Team USA came out of the gate strong and captain Alexander McVey was able to make it 1-0 after about 13 minutes of play. But Grankulla where not daunted and came back to equalize before the break.

In the second Grankulla would take the lead early but Team USA would come back with Case Conner finding Ian Rupp on the far post. The second period would then see a whole lot of nifty plays and plenty of goals. After two periods the score was suddenly 3-8.

Team USA opens the scoring in the third of a laser of a shot off a free hit by William Eriksson. And even though we see two more US goals in the third Grankulla continue to be efficient and take home the win, 6-10.

The game was followed by a penalty shoot out that team USA won.

Despite the loss the game was a solid next step in preparing the team for the coming World Floorball Championships.
