National Team Events Coming Up!
There are two National Team events coming up. One in connection to the coming US Nationals, for all national teams and the other one for the Men’s team hopefuls and will take place on Iceland if enough players sign up.
The Nationals event is open to all comers with US passports and national team aspirations.
The first event if a pre-US Nationals camp in the Menlo Park area on Friday the 24th of August. A day of practice and theory. Details have yet to be set but we are hoping to have a Sweden based National Team coach host it and to have players from all levels participate. After the camp you can participate in the US Nationals at the same site and hopefully be scouted further.
Unfortunately we were not able to get enough players to go to the Iceland event described bellow we but would like to thank Iceland’s Floorball Association as we are very grateful for this unique opportunity and we hope to be able to come to Iceland at some point in the future and we wish them all the best in their endeavors.
The second event is a camp on Iceland on the 7th to 10th of September with practice and friendly games against Iceland and hopefully another national team or two, as well as some sightseeing. For those who want to take more time to visit this exotic island it will be possible to come earlier and get help in exploring it.
The cost of the event, Thursday-Sunday, including lodging, meals, team costs will be around 650 USD. This event is for any man with a US passport and Men’s national team aspirations. To be able to complete this event we need enough players sign up, we are aiming for approx. 15-17 players but this will also depend on position. To participate email GM Adam Troy, email@example.com, by the 31st. of March by the latest, a sign up is binding! Unless you are injured or the like you will be expected to show up if you sign up. A decision as to whether or not the event will take place will be done by mid-April and will depend on how many have signed up.
You will have to be an elite member of USA Floorball to participate in either event.
