The President’s Award is given to the Most Valuable Player during the World Floorball Championships and this time it has gone to team captain Alexander McVey.

“This is the most honorable prize I have ever received. It not only stands for the result of my game on the field, but also for what happens off it. This brings me a lot of pride, and I’m thankful to my teammates and the staff that chose me to receive the Presidents Awards,” says Alexander McVey.

The award, selected by Team USA coaches and players, is given to recognize and reward the player who has not only displayed great results on the court but who has exuded excellent sportsmanship and an enthusiastic attitude towards working as a team.

“Alexander McVey has been a true leader through out this World Floorball Championship on the court and off. He has taken a leading role on a very young squad and was an important piece to the puzzle at the WFC in Finland,” says General Manager Adam Troy.

With the President’s Award we honor the player who has shown, during the WFC, that he is not just an MVP on the court but also in the locker room.

The award means we will see Alexander McVey at a future US Nationals or Golden Gate Cup.
