Recently the USA men’s team head coach Stefan Hedlund choose to step down after nine years as part of the staff.

Stefan Hedlund joined the men’s team staff in time for the 2010 WFCQ in Toronto.
- What a journey, a journey I’m so thankful and happy and proud to have been a part of! says Hedlund.

Stefan Hedlund has been a very important part of the US men’s national team as well as USA Floorball as a whole, not least when coaching at development camps in the states.

- It is impossible to fully describe what Stefan Hedlund has meant for USA Floorball, he has been such a big piece of the men’s team, and he has made a huge impact on USA Floorball as a whole, says general manager Adam Troy.

Stefan Hedlund’s biggest triumph came when he made sure Team USA secured a spot at the World Games in 2017, followed by a great tournament including beating Canada twice in the process. But his most important contributionshave come at the development camps where has had a huge impact on the local players. There is still a good chance that he will turn up at coming development camps.

- I’m proud of my work as a head coach, I’m proud of the players I have had the honor to get to know. I’m so thankful to the players, the federation, the general manager, and all the staff-members that have had the same ambitions as me, and that you all supported me in every aspect of this journey! I know I have contributed – but it’s nothing compared to what I have received, Stefan Hedlund concludes.

USA Floorball will always be eternally grateful to Stefan Hedlund and the whole Hedlund family for the time and effort they have put into to help floorball grow in the states.

The search for a new head coach will commence soon. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for the latest updates.
