Team USA put in several strong showings but where unable to pull off a win at the World Floorball Championships in Switzerland and finished 16th.

The U.S. team finished off the group stage of the WFC with a 5-10 loss to Thailand which meant they where to face off against Estonia in their first placement game.

This would turn out to be their best effort yet. Starting the game with goals by Victoria Lindstrom and Marie Haggstrom giving them a 2-0 lead. But Estonia came back and where able to even the game. Marie Haggstrom would then score her second of the game but once again Estonia would come back and, in the end, win the game in overtime 3-4.

This meant that Team USA would once again face Thailand, this time for the 15th spot in the tournament, and once again USA came out strong. Vera Niskanen, Selma Johansson and Marie Haggstrom where all able to score before Thailand could find the net. But this would not end in the U.S’s favor as Thailand would come back and get the 15th spot after a final score of 6-10.
