USA Floorball is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation in the U.S. as our primary concern is our member’s safety and health. Due to this situation we have tentatively set the U.S. Nationals and the MU19 WFCQ for November in Fort Worth, Texas.

The COVID-19 pandemic is having a major impact on everyone’s life and continues to be a major concern in our community. USA Floorball has, like all other sports leagues including the SSL, F-Liiga, NHL, MLB, NBA and MLS, postponed our season due to concerns over COVID-19.

For example, the US National Floorball Championship 2020 was supposed to be played in Birmingham, AL this August, but was postponed. The MU19 WFCQ was supposed to be played at the same time but this was also postponed.

The first ever separate event of the US Youth National championship was scheduled to be held in Utah in June but has been postponed twice now.

Golden Gate Cup 2020 was scheduled for November but has been postponed until further notice due to of COVID-19 CA state restrictions on any sports event.

Worldwide -IFF has rescheduled and postponed the WU19 WFC twice already and the Men’s WFC in December might be in jeopardy as well, pending further COVID-19 developments.

As of today, USA Floorball will try a last attempt to combine the following events to one big Floorball festival in Fort Worth, TX, November 11 – 15:

  1. MU19 WFCQ
  2. 2020 US National Floorball Championship for Youth and Adults.

This attempt will most likely be the only USA Floorball event this year if all works out.

It is our belief that this will be possible and our hope that COVID-19 will slow down and make this doable. Registration details will follow shortly here on our website.

We encourage everyone to attend but also to be aware and pay close attention to announcements on USA Floorball website for the go/no-go decision on this event. There are currently many factors in play that will need to be evaluated to know if it will be possible to run this tournament or not. USA Floorball reserves the right to cancel this event at any point in time.

We will be posting a status update for this event at the end of each coming month. The first update will be communicated at the end of July. After that we will continue to make these announcements at the end of each month up until the final Go/No-GO decision on or before September 30. This is to help attendees postpone travel and lodging arrangements as early as possible.

Special restrictions to the venue and how the games are played will also be applied and documented in the tournament guidelines.

Please stay tuned and our best hopes and wishes to finally be back on the Floorball court again in 2020!
