Robin Brown: Let the best team win

Team USA fell to Germany in overtime, 5-6. After the game we talked to one of the scorers Robin Brown. We talked about the loss but also about his role on the team, his future and what he expects of the last game that will be against Canada.

Tell us about the game against Germany.
─ I think we played our best game of the competition so far. We great offensive and we were great in the defense as well. I think everyone was good. Germany was good to but I think we were a little bit hungrier than them, says Robin Brown.

In the third period you were down by two but came back, what was the feeling then?
─ It was the best feeling so far this competition because Germany is a great team. When we got ourselves back in the game and scored two goals in the third period… It was the greatest feeling ever in this competition. I really think so and I also think we were hungrier than them. It sucks right now. It really does.

You are new to this team, what where you expectations coming in?
─ I was expecting aA great experience first of all and I had no idea of how the players where going to be or how they play or anything. After the first day I really felt that I come into the team in a good way and they have taken care of me very well as well. This gives me a lot of confidence on the field when I play right now.

How do you see your role on this team?
─ Right now I do not know because I shift a little bit between the third and second formations but I take that in a good way. I feel that I have played better than I thought I would.

What does you future look like with this team?
─ Well I think I am going to play with this team as long as I can stay on my feet. I think that many of these players can play a long time as well.

Depressing loss today but tomorrow you face Canada?
─ I think we are going to win. But you never know because Canada have played pretty well this competition It is going to be as hard a game as the games against the other teams we have met so far. Canada against the USA is classic game so let the best team win.

And will you score?
─ I think so yeah, you know that! Says Robin Brown.
