Solid Showing by MU19 at the US Nationals!

For the first time ever the Men's U19 national developmental team participated in the U.S. Nationals.

A total of nine players traveled from Washington, Utah, Wyoming, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Texas to participate at the tournament in Tomah.

Joel Olofsson, the U.S. Men's U19 Team coach, made the trip from Sweden to coach the team and evaluate prospects for the U.S. national team for next May's World Championships in Halifax, Canada. Coach Olofsson was greatly encouraged by the competitiveness, skill and passion shown by the players.

"The U.S. Nationals were a good first step towards Halifax. We now have a solid foundation to build on and will hopefully have our best performance yet at the World Floorball Championships in Canada," Head coach Joel Olofsson says.

Scoring wise the team was led by Eli Dugan of Washington and Nick Schwindt of Wyoming with 5 total points each, and by Tyler Radichel of Texas with 4 goals scored.

The MU19 men's team played well and ended the tournament in the 6^th position after falling to NTFA in the playoffs.

The Men's U19 national team program plans to continue the momentum gained from Tomah by forming another U19 developmental team to participate in the Golden Gate Cup tournament in November.

All players who will be ages 15-18 next May and who are interested in being considered for the national team are encouraged to play on the U19 developmental team at the Golden Gate Cup please contact General Manager Kenton Walker at kenton.walker@usfba.org to be added to the Golden Gate Cup roster.
