The games that were played showed a glimpse to the sort of competitive style we look forward to seeing more of out of Team USA in the future…

The first playoff round for the US was against Norway, who kicked off the game with an early lead. The US began a thrilling comeback in the third period to nearly tie the game and force Over Time, however the US team couldn't complete the comeback and lost the game by a single goal, with a final score of 5-4. This game, even with a loss, was proof enough that the US can compete against tough opponents at the WFC.

While the US went on to lose their placement games against Germany (10-7) and Estonia, (8-7 OT), this year's WFC has been a turning point for USA Floorball. The games that were played at this tournament showcased a lot of young talent emerging for the US team, with a great sense of teamwork and player compatibility. With the further development of the U19 team and the sport getting more exposure, we are very excited to see what the future holds for Floorball in the United States.
