Win Over Thailand in Initial WFC game!

Team USA came out on top in a hard-fought game, going ahead 2-0 after goals by Robin Brown and Stefan Zimmerman but Thailand came back. With less than five minutes to go of the second the tables had turned and Thailand were up 2-3.

But in the end of the second Zimmerman stepped up with his second goal of the game. And before the period break team captain Ryan Winkler rocketed at shot into the top corner giving team USA a 4-3 lead going into the third period.

Despite a flurry of saves by Terence Frank in the third Thailand scored on the power play through Pawat Thaidit, their second goal on a man advantage. As the clock ran down USA got a free hit in Thailand's zone. Mattias Hansen and Alexander McVey executed it perfectly! McVey got the goal and despite late pressure Team USA won the game 5-4.

The win takes team USA one step closer to their goal of being part of the World Games!
