World Floorball Championships 2016 Team USA Selection Plan!

In the beginning of December the U.S. Men's National team of floorball will be participating in the World Floorball Championships in Riga, Latvia. Team selection has begun.

The team can consist of 20 players and the plan is to fill all the roster spots.

The first round of selection will include up to 15 players and the goal is to have the round complete by mid-September.

The second round of selections will complete the WFC squad as well as a couple of reserves and the goal is to have that done by mid-October.

The selections are based on previous performances, communication with players and coaches as well as scouting reports and more.

There will be at least one scout at the upcoming Nationals in September in Texas. Read more about the Nationals here.

If you are a U.S. citizen with floorball skills and want to be a part of the team email head coach Stefan Hedlund stefan.hedlund@live.se and cc: General Manager Adam Troy adam@usfba.org and tells us about yourself. Email as soon as possible for the first round of selections and/or the second and third weeks of September for the second round. Feel free to email at other times.

Be aware that all players pay their own costs as well as part of the team's costs at the World Floorball Championships and other events.

In the group stage of the WFC team USA will face off with Canada, Singapore and Thailand and the approximate dates for Team USA will be the 30^th of November until the 11^th of December.
