The U.S. Men’s National Team for Iceland set!

Time to announce the 22 players that will travel to Iceland to be part of the U.S. men’s national team during the second week of November. They will participate in a training camp that includes games against Canada and Iceland.

“We will experience Iceland's magnificent nature and attractions at the beginning of our camp, and then we will focus on training and games as a way to develop our national team and players. We have an exciting mix of young and older players, experienced and rookies. We also have some players who have shown a great interest in being part of the team in the future but have had to decline the camp on Iceland,” general manager Stefan Hedund tells us.

The camp is also the final stage of the selection process for the World Championship Qualifiers, WFCQ, against Canada in February, 2024.

The World Championships Qualifier squad will be announced just days after the Iceland camp thus the impressions during the camp are an important basis for selecting the players for the WFCQ.

“I am very inspired and motivated to make a new attempt to advance to the 2024 World Championships and then the 2025 World Games, which are the two major championships coming up. It is evident that the selected players share my inspiration and motivation. This is going to be exciting, and we are so grateful to Iceland, but also to Canada for giving us the opportunity to set up and be a part of this camp.” General Manager Stefan Hedlund concludes.

The schedule for the games is still being worked out and there is currently no information on whether they will be streamed or not.
