In Motala, Sweden this past weekend, staff of the Women’s National Team brought together a group of 13 athletes, consisting of past national team members and rookie players, for a training camp.
As part of Camp Mallboden, Team USA played two games against the local team Solfjäderstaden. Game one was against their junior team which contained seven players from the area's district team. Working on their chemistry with a new lineup of players, Team USA won 6-3. On Sunday, USA played Solfjäderstaden's Division 1 team and also beat them, this time 4-2. A weekend full of tough trainings and games, team bonding, and lots of laughs - team staff was pleased with the camp results.
This camp, along with one other training camp plus competing in the US National Championships held in Dallas this coming weekend, will be the base for the upcoming WFC team selection for Singapore this December.
