We are very excited to be able to announce that the Men’s World Floorball Championship Qualifier 2026 is going to be hosted by NTFA in conjunction with the Texas Open in March.
The Men’s WFCQ will take place in mid-March at the Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, just outside Austin. A venue that has seen a lot of floorball action the last couple years, from the NAFL to the upcoming U.S. Nationals. It is a perfect venue for an international floorball event.
The Men’s World Floorball Championship Qualifier is played in best of three with all games played no matter the outcome. And team USA will be facing off with Canada in the battle for North America once again!
“The games against Canada are always tough and we know we will have to give it our all to qualify. The last WFCQ was in Toronto so we are really looking forward to playing in front of a loud home crowd, “ says General Manager Adam Troy.
Beyond the WFCQ itself the Texas Open will be taking place as well, paving the way for an amazing floorball weekend.
“We will be taking the opportunity to maximize this event in any and all ways we can. We are just in the starting phases of planning but I am very excited to see what we can put together. It will be a weekend to bring together the entire USA Floorball community to cheer on the team but also take part in the Texas Open and all kinds of other development opportunities,” Adam Troy concludes.
The winners of this WFCQ will take part in the 16th Men's World Championships the 4th - 13th December in Tampere, Finland.
